Basketball courts in Polomolok: what to know

The Reserve teamUpdated June 30, 20264 min read

Basketball courts in Polomolok are not bookable on ReservePolomolok yet. Basketball is the biggest sport in town by far, played on barangay courts in nearly every purok, but those are walk-in, first-come spaces with no online calendar. ReservePolomolok is still in development, so there is no live inventory yet; basketball is a category the platform plans to list as venues join.

Can I book a basketball court online today?

No. The barangay courts across Poblacion, Cannery Site, and the other puroks are public, free, and busy, but none of them run a booking system. You show up, you wait your turn, or you call dibs the way games have always been organized here. That works for a pickup game and falls apart the moment you need a guaranteed slot for a league or a team practice.

What will be bookable?

Pickleball is planned as ReservePolomolok's first category once the platform launches and venues onboard. None of it is live today — the goal is a real-time calendar and online payment for each court as owners join. If your group wants a guaranteed court for a fast game right now, online booking is not yet available in Polomolok for any sport; for the moment, that still means coordinating directly with whoever runs the court.

When does basketball booking go live?

Basketball will go live once a venue with a private or rentable court joins ReservePolomolok. The platform is being built for it. When a basketball court onboards, it will appear with a real calendar, slots you book once, and payment by Maya, QR Ph, or card. We plan to update the journal when the first one is up, so this page is worth checking back on.

How will booking work once it does?

It will work like any standard online court booking flow. A free account is all you will need to book; browsing will be open to everyone.

  1. 1Pick your venue, then your start and end time on the live calendar.
  2. 2Your slot is held briefly while you pay by Maya, QR Ph, or card.
  3. 3One slot is booked once, so nobody can double-book your court.
  4. 4Show your confirmation at the gate, with cancellation terms set by each venue.

One slot, booked once. No more arriving at the court to find another team already running games.

What about right now if I need a court?

For basketball today, your options are the public barangay courts and word of mouth: ask the barangay hall or purok leader about the covered court schedule, since some are claimed for events on certain nights. If you run a covered court or a private gym and want to be among the first basketball venues people can reserve in Polomolok, owner signup is quick once it opens.

Are there indoor basketball courts in Polomolok?
There are covered barangay courts, including ones in Poblacion and the Cannery area, that shield you from sun and light rain. They are walk-in and not on any booking system. ReservePolomolok does not yet list any bookable indoor court, since the platform is still in development.
How much does it cost to use a basketball court here?
Public barangay basketball courts are free, which is why they are usually full. There is no rental rate because there is no rental system. Once private or rentable venues join ReservePolomolok, each will set and display its own hourly price upfront.
Can I reserve a court for a barangay league or tournament?
Not through ReservePolomolok yet, since no basketball venue has onboarded and the platform is still in development. For now, league organizers coordinate directly with the barangay that owns the court. When a bookable basketball venue eventually goes live, reserving recurring league dates would work through the same online calendar as every other slot.

Basketball booking is planned for Polomolok as venues join, but nothing is live yet. Until then, organize basketball the way the town always has — at the public barangay courts — and check back as ReservePolomolok adds its first listings.
